SKETCH-UP MODEL DESIGNS

THE BRIDGE

I tried to mimic the flow of the valley whilst incoporating aspects that
would represent the power of each company. The global recognition
both Facebook and Coca Cola have received is apparent in the
large-scale designs, heavily incoporating spherical shapes in the
design to convey their global appeal.

The aim was to incorporate the bridge throughout the design
of the two corporate headquarters as much as possible to
emphasise the notion that the bridge itself is a part (basis) of
the designs. Unification gives a strong sense of power, a
theme resonating throughout the overall design.

The Coca Cola Headquarters consists of many flat levels that
together create spheres that are encased by an outer layer of glass.
These different spheres represented a synegy of ideas over time,
that have shaped the identity of the company without changing the
core values and goals the company set out to acheive originally.

Facebook is a dominating social media outlet used by billions
around the world. My design reflects their global dominance
through the overall shape of the building reflecting a huge
power reaching out all over the world. This is further reflected
in its unique connection with the bridge which acts as an arm
attatching itself to the building and seems to gain strength
from it - indicating the powersource that is Facebook...

MEETING PLACE

The meeting place needed to reflect the key theme of power
portrayed in the bridge's design, whilst also meeting the
requirements of the brief. This design is both spacious and
functional allowing for the elevators and large table to house
discussion between representatives from both companies.

The colour scheme coincides with the colour scheme
of the bridge whilst the grand stairs leading to the centre
of the area, where the table is, delivers another aspect
of powerful influence.

The table delivers sharp and precise lines with a strong
framework that demands attention and funnels movement
from the stairs to the centre of the area - the table.

ELEVATOR - FACEBOOK

The elevator for facebook incorporated a unique design that
begins taking the shape of a sphere before elegantly opening
to allow entry onto a glowing blue lift floor. The attraction
of the elevator is the way it opens to mimic the shape of the
entry-way of the facebook headquarters...

The opening in the circular cross-sections (gaps) allow the
occupants to view outside. The entry to the elevator symbolises
dominance through its size and movement.

ELEVATOR - COCA COLA

The simplicity of the Coca Cola design does not detract from its impact.
The circular levels that make up the top and bottom of the elevator
coincides with the design of the headquarter's levels.

The revolving walls circulating around the perimeter of the elevator
is the main attraction of the design, whilst the colour scheme reflects
that of the headquarters. The notion of stone-like materials floating
in space is a powerful illustration that reflects the attributes of the company.

CRYENGINE ENVIRONMENT - GLENWORTH VALLEY

I used the Glenworth Valley as the basis of my environment in cryengine - as I was particularly intereted in the winding natural river which seemed to take you on a journey throughout the valley and would provide a suitable reference point to compare the scale and positioning of my bridge design.

EXPERIMENT 3 CLIENTS - MASHUP

Experiment 3 has three clients of which we would choose two to use as clients for our bridge design. Below is a mashup of three articles combining elements of power for each respective client.

I would later choose Facebook and Coca cola as my two clients..

MASH-UP
"If you can figure out how to leverage the power of friendship, that opens up incredible possibilities." …

It is as American as Thanksgiving Day. It has been around since 1886 and has since become impressively tied in with the American identity through its massive growth and worldwide adoration. The team draws much of its style and inspiration from the corporate sector, with its driving ambition to create a vote-garnering machine that is smooth, unobtrusive and ruthlessly efficient. They perfectly targeted what people see as the core of the image and magnified it by stripping everything else away. The result was resurgence in the public’s love for the brand and a flurry of design awards and praise from magazines, blogs and various media outlets. Since then, we've uncovered opportunities to make it into something even more extraordinary. It is the largest, most detailed and potentially most powerful in the history of political campaigns. The ads depict human experience in two primary ways. First, long before global branding was the trend it is today, it was embracing diversity. The fusion of information into a centralised database allows you to direct market online at much less cost and virtually instantaneously. It is the largest, most detailed and potentially most powerful in the history of political campaigns. "Whichever candidate uses it the most effectively could win the war." It has long been available in one form or another in countries all across the world and it’s even rumored to be the most recognizable brand, logo and even word on the planet. It is a leading developer, marketer and publisher of interactive entertainment for consumers around the globe. When ads aren’t targeting worldwide diversity, they still possess a strong sense of community and overcoming differences and hardship through universal similarities. It could become a dominant political force. The social media giant has grown exponentially since the last presidential election, rendering it for the first time a major campaigning tool that has the potential to transform friendship into a political weapon. Some would say it learns to fight foes in high-speed Sky-Line battles, engage in combat both indoors and amongst the clouds, and harnesses the power of dozens of new weapons and abilities. It is a unified database that gathers and refines information on millions of potential voters is at the forefront of campaign technology.
